Abatec is assisting a highly reputable Civil Engineering contractor with the recruitment of a Health & Safety Manager to be an integral part of their company and ensure that Health, Safety and Environmental standards and legislation is upheld across the business.\n\nMy client, with a turnover of £30 million, delivers utility projects across the Devon and Cornwall. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a company that delivers work on behalf of South West Water and National Grid.\n\nAs Health & Safety Manager you will:\n\n * Be a driving force in developing innovative ways to promote Health & Safety awareness and culture.\n\n * Provide advice and expertise on project-based Health & Safety issues/occurrences\n\n * Be proactive in offering improvements and development to incident plans.\n\n * Be an advocate of Health and Safety culture by providing training and consultation.\n\n * Work with subcontractors, vetting them before works are conducted, and monitor and report on conduct during delivery of multiple projects.\n\nOur client is looking for a Health and Safety Manager with:\n\n * Relevant H&S Qualifications (NEBOSH General or Construction Certificate – minimum)\n\n * Sound knowledge of Civil Engineering / Construction methods\n\n * Strong team management and time management skills\n\n * Understanding of CDM 2015 regulations\n\nSalary/Benefits:\n\n * £45,000 - £45,000\n\n * Company car or car allowance\n\n * Attractive benefits package including paid annual leave, company pension scheme etc.\n\nIf you would like more information, or to apply for this vacancy, please contact Kelly Evans on (phone number removed).
