Management Accountant North Suffolk | Permanent / Interim | Competitive Salary Benefits Our client, a growing and forward-thinking business, is seeking a proactive and commercially-minded Management Accountant to join their finance team. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious individual looking to take ownership of end-to-end accounting processes within a dynamic and supportive environment. As the Management Accountant, you’ll play a key role in the day-to-day financial operations, reporting, and strategic support. You’ll be working closely with senior stakeholders and will be instrumental in driving improvements across systems, reporting, and controls. Key Responsibilities: Oversee accounts payable and receivable processes, including billing and collections. Prepare full monthly management accounts, including P&L and balance sheet reconciliations. Manage bank reconciliations, accruals, prepayments, deferrals, and intercompany entries. Deliver insightful cash flow analysis and support budgeting and forecasting cycles. Support the external audit process, ensuring timely and accurate data provision. Prepare and submit quarterly VAT returns, including partial exemption and reverse charge treatment. Produce monthly management reporting packs, including KPI dashboards and graphical analysis. Assist with the implementation of new systems, controls, and processes to drive efficiency and accuracy.Candidate Profile: Qualified or part-qualified accountant (ACCA / CIMA / ACA) or QBE with strong hands-on experience. Proactive, self-motivated, and comfortable working to tight month-end deadlines. Strong Excel skills are essential; advanced knowledge (e.g., pivot tables, lookups, dashboards) is highly advantageous. Solid understanding of VAT, balance sheet control, and financial reporting best practices. Experience with stock, WIP, and intercompany transactions is a plus.
