Product Engineer (Full-Stack Developer with UX focus)
London / Hybrid / Full-time
About Us
We’re building the next-generation image licensing platform — a new model for discovering and licensing contemporary photography. Our platform represents leading photographers globally and gives brands and agencies access to original, authentic imagery. We’re now entering an exciting new phase: developing a best-in-class digital experience for discovery, search, and licensing.
The Role
We’re looking for a hands-on Product Engineer to lead the next stage of our product development — building out our image library, search experience, and e-commerce functionality. You’ll work closely with our leadership team to shape the user experience, bring ideas to life, and make our platform as slick and intuitive as the biggest players in the industry.
This is a rare opportunity to join early and help define the product roadmap, architecture, and user journey for a high-growth creative technology company.
Responsibilities
* Lead development of new product features — from concept to launch.
* Design and implement an improved search and browsing experience for imagery.
* Build the e-commerce flow (licensing checkout, payments, order management).
* Oversee the contributor upload and content management experience.
* Collaborate on UX/UI design and help translate wireframes into polished interactions.
* Integrate with payment gateways and internal systems (e.g., CRM, DAM).
* Maintain and improve site performance, reliability, and scalability.
* Evaluate and manage external development partners where needed.
What You’ll Bring
* 5+ years of full-stack development experience (React, Node.js, TypeScript or similar).
* Strong UX/UI sensibility — you think about flow, usability, and customer experience.
* Experience with e-commerce or transactional web apps.
* Familiarity with search and indexing tools (e.g. Elasticsearch, Algolia, OpenSearch).
* Database knowledge (PostgreSQL, MongoDB, etc.).
* Comfortable owning projects end-to-end and working in an agile, startup environment.
* Bonus: Experience in creative industries or digital media platforms.
You Might Be Right If You...
* Love building things that are beautiful and functional.
* Want ownership of a product from day one.
* Enjoy collaborating across design, engineering, and business.
* Are energised by small, creative teams.
