Successful candidates will be responsible for:
* Editing fundraising and advocacy emails, text messages, social posts, and more on a daily basis;
* Checking copy for syntax, punctuation, grammar, spelling, typos, and overall accordance with AP Style guidelines;
* Fact-checking, fact-checking, fact-checking;
* Technical quality assurance on email tests and landing pages, including checking tracking, URLs, rendering, and general functionality;
* Ensuring emails are in line with both internal style and client-specific style, all while retaining a compelling, authentic voice.
Must-have qualifications:
* Up to 3 years in an editing-adjacent position, including internships;
* Experience using a style guide (AP or otherwise);
* Discipline to read carefully, think critically, and strive for perfection;
* Ability to juggle multiple projects in a deadline-driven environment, while maintaining error-free, high-efficiency output;
* Passion for making our world a better place.
Nice-to-have qualifications:
* Ability to parse policy;
* Experience with HTML, email functionality, and/or user experience;
* Experience in a remote work environment using tools like Slack, Jira, and Google Workspace;
* Genuine interest and passion for following U.S. news and current affairs, especially politics.
