Position: 1/2/1 Teaching Assistant (SEND Support)

We are recruiting a compassionate and experienced Teaching Assistant to provide targeted support to students with Special Educational Needs in a friendly secondary school environment. This role is pivotal in enabling vulnerable pupils to access the curriculum and fully participate in school life.
Main duties:
* Provide personalised support for students with complex needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or physical disabilities.
* Assist in the delivery of individual education plans (IEPs) and behavioural support strategies.
* Support students during lessons, social times, and transitions around school.
* Facilitate communication between pupils, teachers, and parents to promote progress and wellbeing.
* Adapt resources and learning materials to meet individual needs.
* Monitor and record progress, contributing to multi-agency meetings and safeguarding procedures.
We are looking for someone who:
* Has previous experience working 1:1 or with small groups in an educational or care setting.
* Holds relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2 or 3 TA, CACHE, or equivalent).
* Demonstrates patience, empathy, and a nurturing approach.
* Is skilled in managing challenging behaviours calmly and effectively.
* Works well as part of a multidisciplinary team.
* Committed to ongoing professional development in SEND support.
