Assistant Headteacher – Attendance & Inclusion
Are you an Assistant Headteacher with secondary-based experience looking for a new opportunity from October half-term on an interim basis or contract basis?
We are working with a good school in Birmingham to support in recruiting an Assistant Headteacher to work across whole of school improving attendance and inclusion.
Responsibilities & Expectations
* Build relationships with students, parents, staff and third parties to improve attendance and inclusion.
* Lead on whole‑school attendance initiatives.
* Work with students and families to develop plans for attendance, punctuality, participation and communication.
* Mentor and support the team in improving outcomes that start with attendance.
* Act as an ambassador for oracy across the school.
Qualifications
* QTS Secondary teacher (any subject).
* Experienced leader in a secondary school setting.
* Exceptional communication skills.
* Demonstrated understanding of inclusion and a track record of improving attendance across a whole school.
* Experience working as part of a team responsible for outcomes that start with attendance.
* Minimal amount of teaching required.
