Clinical Systems Training and Development Officer

The Digital Systems Deployment and Support team is responsible for the implementation, development and ongoing management and support of the Trust's Digital Strategy, aiming to transform the Trust into a "digitised enterprise".
As part of the Digital Clinical Systems Training Department, this role will develop, maintain and deliver end‑user training provision and support for the Trust's digital systems.
Main duties of the job
A vacancy has arisen for the post of Clinical Systems Training and Development Officer to support the implementation of the "TeleTracking" system – an innovative programme that introduces new digital systems and updates relevant workflows to create a large‑scale live digital bed management information environment. This programme will enable automated discharges/transfers, streamline portering and domestic requests, increase bed availability, improve patient flow and provide real‑time operational data for more effective decision making.
The successful candidate will:
* Develop and deliver end‑user training for clinical and administrative systems, preferably within an NHS environment.
* Describe the knowledge and skills they possess that will contribute to the Digital Clinical Systems Training Team and the service it provides.
* Work as part of the Digital Support and Implementation Team, demonstrating the ability to work within a team with shared goals and meet strict deadlines.
* Work without supervision and exercise initiative.
* Communicate effectively with staff across all levels.
Education / Qualifications
* A degree or equivalent NHS experience as a clinical system user.
* Training qualification at Level 3 or equivalent experience in education.
* PGCE/Certificate in Education.
Knowledge, Training & Experience
* Design and delivery experience of training courses.
* Experience providing end‑user support and advice.
* Relevant NHS experience using clinical systems or in an educational setting.
* Experience training clinical and non‑clinical applications (e.g. Lorenzo).
* Experience designing and delivering IT training courses.
* Experience designing and delivering IT training courses.
Communication and Interpersonal Skills
* Good planning and organisational skills.
* Proficient PC and Microsoft Office user.
* Understanding of information governance, security and confidentiality issues.
* Ability to work unsupervised, using initiative and proactive self‑motivation.
* Ability to motivate and enthuse others.
* Experience working in an office environment.
* ECDL/Advanced ECDL certification.
* Knowledge of digital services and the Trust's digital strategy.
