Stores Assistant
Location: Witham
Salary: up to £30,000 DOE
You must be a car driver and have full rights to work in the UK for this opportunity. Previous experience within a stores / facilities assistant role is essential.
Our client, a reputable organisation in Witham, is recruiting a stores / facilities assistant to assisting in the upkeep and management of the office facilities and inventory. This includes maintaining and managing inventory, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, and assisting with coordination of maintenance tasks.
You must be a car driver for this opportunity based on the clients location and occasional need to drive between our client's locations.
Inventory and Stores Management:
Stock Control: Ensuring accurate inventory records and proper stock levels.
Supplies Management: Ordering and managing supplies for maintenance, cleaning, and other operational needs.
Inventory Accuracy: Regularly verifying stock levels and identifying discrepancies. Facilities Maintenance and Support:
Maintenance Coordination: Assisting in scheduling and coordinating maintenance work, including repairs and preventative maintenance.
Contractor Management: Working with external vendors and contractors for maintenance and repairs.
Work Order Management: Handling incoming work orders and responding to repair requests. Health and Safety:
Compliance: Ensuring adherence to health and safety regulations.
Risk Assessments: Assisting with risk assessments and safety inspections.
Safety Checks: Performing routine checks to ensure a safe working environment. Other Responsibilities:
Administrative Support: Assisting with administrative tasks such as preparing reports, answering phones, and managing correspondence.
Space Management: Setting up and arranging meeting rooms or event spaces
