Job Title: Engineering Project Manager\n\nSalary: Up to £56,000 (dependent on experience) + £4,500 car allowance\n\nLocation: Reading or Swindon - with travel across sites\n\nType: Permanent, full-time, hybrid site/office\n\nAbout the Role:\n\nThis is a fantastic opportunity for a self-motivated and skilled professional to manage end-to-end engineering projects across our client's operational sites and estate. You'll oversee the full project lifecycle - from scoping and tendering to construction, commissioning, and handover - ensuring the highest standards of safety, compliance, and delivery.\n\nAbout the Client:\n\nOur client is a leading UK utility provider, delivering essential services to millions of customers every day. With a strong commitment to innovation, sustainability, and operational excellence, they are focused on creating a better future for communities, the environment, and their people.\n\nKey Responsibilities:\n\nManage and deliver a portfolio of mechanical, electrical, and ICA projects, typically valued between £100,000 and £1 million each.\nOversee multiple live projects simultaneously, from concept through to completion.\nCollaborate with operational teams and contractors to develop cost-effective, low-risk solutions.\nMaintain a zero-compromise approach to health and safety, including monthly audits.\nEnsure compliance with internal policies, industry standards, and CDM regulations.\nLead project construction, financial forecasting, and reporting.\nApprove project documentation including risk assessments, method statements, and construction phase plans.\nOversee commissioning, training, and handover to operations teams, ensuring all completion documents are provided.
