UX Content Designer – Manchester (Hybrid) – 6 Month Contract
I am looking for an experienced UX Content Designer to join a fast-paced digital product environment within financial services.
This is a 6-month contract opportunity based in Manchester, with a hybrid working model (2 days onsite per week). The role is inside IR35.
You will be embedded within a cross-functional Agile team from the outset, shaping content strategy and ensuring that user needs drive every decision. This role is about more than writing -it's about designing content that makes complex processes simple, accessible, and intuitive.
Rate: £374 per day Umbrella

What you'll be doing:
Defining the purpose and structure of content across digital journeys
Translating user research and user stories into clear, outcome-focused content
Advocating for users in stakeholder discussions and product decisions
Designing content that simplifies regulated and complex information
Contributing to content standards, accessibility guidance, and design systems
Using qualitative and quantitative insights to iterate and improve outcomes
Supporting MVP definition and helping prioritise work effectively
Operating confidently within a fast-moving Agile delivery environment
What I'm looking for:
At least 2 years' experience in UX or content design
Strong experience working within Agile product teams
Practical knowledge of user-centred design methodologies
Experience in financial services or other regulated environments
Confidence engaging stakeholders and challenging the status quo constructively
A proactive mindset with the ability to manage competing priorities
