Live Wire has worked across Formula 1 for the past 10 years, supplying technology to major teams and F1 Management. Our work involves constructing viewer experiences in hospitality suites, paddock, garages, and factories, elevating each of the 24 races annually. We collaborate with suppliers to deliver pioneering technology and integrate innovation into all our projects.
We provide AV technology for various events including Festivals, Concerts, Conferences, Theatre, and Dance. Our clients include large concert halls in London such as Southbank Centre, Barbican, and Sadler's Wells.
We are seeking AV technicians to join our travelling team, working with clients like Mercedes, Red Bull, Aston Martin, McLaren, F1 Management, and F1 Academy. Technicians will work with cutting-edge equipment across multiple event types, from driver interviews to hospitality entertainment and live race commentary, including pit links. The role requires working under pressure, maintaining equipment, and constantly seeking improvements.
Responsibilities include managing equipment carefully, packing for safe shipping, ongoing maintenance, and prompt repairs. Technicians must write detailed race reports on build, scheduling, equipment usage, and sustainability, delivering reports timely to relevant parties.
We value technicians who can mentor junior team members, uphold high work standards, and collaborate with operations, production, project, and finance teams to ensure seamless race delivery and continuous improvement.
This is a full-time role.
Responsibilities:
* Operate high-profile shows with world-class drivers and musicians.
* Create production schedules and kit lists.
* Write debriefs with action points and improvement ideas.
* Maintain and report on equipment damages.
* Work independently with self-motivation.
* Build positive client relationships.
* Communicate effectively with team members on track and in the UK.
Requirements:
* At least 5 years of experience in events of varying demand.
* Specialization in lighting, sound, or AV, with broad project management confidence.
