Morson Edge are working with a major player in the Energy Sector who have a current requirement for a Contract Engineering Lead for Door & Key Locking Systems to join their established Project team at Aztec West, Bristol. Role Overview
* As the Door Locking Contract Engineering Lead you will be responsible for developing an understanding of the Door Locks and Key Control user requirements of a new nuclear power station and developing into a system requirement to enable a tender process with potential suppliers.
* On contract award, you will be responsible for overall surveillance of the design development of the Door Locks and Key Control systems and surveillance of design deliverables.
* You will be responsible for the ultimate hand over of the Door Locks and Key Control system design to installation teams.
Accountabilities
* Engage with the end user to understand and develop the Door Locks and Key Control system architecture and requirements of a new nuclear power station.
* From these user requirements and consideration of wider business requirements, develop and document the Door Locks and Key Control system requirements to support a tender process with potential suppliers.
* On contract award, work closely with the programme manager to enable the delivery of the Door Locks and Key Control system contract ensuring work packages are delivered safely, on time, to budget, meeting business and system requirements.
* Lead, manage and optimise the review and surveillance of the Door Locks and Key Control system contract delivery.
* Maintain consistency of the contractor delivery and the project reference configuration, including development and management of design change, risk, open point, design checks and validation.
* Engage with stakeholders to ensure the design is integrated into the relevant building designs.
* Handover of the design to the installation teams.
Knowledge and experience
* Knowledge of systems controlling access and confirming identities with keys, cards, tags, mobile, and biometric identity verification.
* Knowledge of Door Locks and Key Control systems applied to large engineering/infrastructure projects.
* Experience of specification, installation, commissioning and operation of Door Locks and Key Control systems.
* Effective communication skills, able to maintain collaborative relationships with numerous stakeholders.
* Technical writing ability with experience in the preparation of reports, specifications & presentations.
* Experience of working within a project reference configuration environment and authoring design change modifications.
* Knowledge and experience of installation and operation of Assa Abloy products and services would be beneficial. xsngvjr
