We’re looking for a motivated HR Advisor to join our team, educating and supporting managers regarding best practice across Employee Relations, HR processes, compliance, and DE&I.
This multi-site role is predominantly based at the Ellesmere Port site, with regular site visits to our Grantham site (NG32 3HL).
About the RoleAs a trusted advisor, you will be the main HR contact for both sites, ensuring HR systems are accurate, capturing and monitoring employee documentation as required.
You will be involved in ER, absence management, recruitment and onboarding, Occupational Health, HR administration, and supporting with Payroll activities when required.
Employee Relations:
You’ll assist with disciplinary and grievance procedures (including appeals), supporting ER meetings, and issuing appropriate letters to employees (e.g. invitations, outcome letters, etc.), maintaining these to ensure compliance and suitability.
We’ll rely on you to support welfare meetings too when they occur, guiding our managers appropriately on the most appropriate action.
Recruitment & Onboarding:
You will assist recruitment of Grantham and Ellesmere Port roles, collaborating with Talent Acquisition. This includes issuing offers and contracts, and providing information to New Starters.
You’ll also be involved in delivering engaging HR inductions for New Starters!
HR Records & Documentation:
We'll also rely on your expertise to ensure employees' records are accurately captured within our HR system, occasionally running reports.
You'll also issue access cards to Contractors and access fobs to New Starters.

The qualifications and experience we'll need from you:
FMCG/Production/Manufacturing industry experience (in an HR capacity)
Supporting concurrent Employee Relations cases from initiation to conclusion
High volume processing of Starters and Leavers
Trusted advisor of policy and processes, and abreast with employment legislation
CIPD qualification
Proficient in everyday IT and HR systems (e.g. SilverCloud, Sage, Dayforce, etc.)
