Duties and Responsibilities
This role is pivotal in shaping future growth strategies, ensuring operational excellence, and growing a strong financial contribution to the SDS‑R P&L. Collaborate closely with cross‑functional teams including Rosyth Projects, Engineering, Proposals, and Manufacturing, and across other Oceaneering business units to deliver high‑impact results and exceptional client support.
* Strategic growth of Umbilical Type 1 & 2 brownfield projects
* Management of reel rental and offshore storage solutions
* Technical support for offshore installation, commissioning, repair and life extension
* Engineering studies and asset life extension programs
* Cross‑functional leadership and financial accountability
* Lead and grow the department’s portfolio across Type 1 & 2 umbilical projects
* Expand Reel Rental & Storage services to optimise asset utilisation and revenue
* Drive offshore support initiatives and engineering study engagements
* Oversee Life Extension programs including integrity assessments and refurbishment
* Maintain strong client relationships and support business development efforts
* Own departmental P&L, ensuring profitability and cost efficiency
* Manage cross‑functional teams and foster a high‑performance culture
* Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and regulatory standards
* Act as the primary interface between the company and clients, advocating for customer needs while maintaining alignment with internal teams
* Ensure all project deliverables meet regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and safety standards
* Operate as part of a broader international business, managing project interactions across multiple geographic regions
* Proven experience managing large‑scale projects within the oil and gas industry or similar industry
* Strong project management skills, including scope definition, scheduling, budgeting, and risk mitigation
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders at all levels
* Familiarity with industry standards and compliance frameworks
* Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced, global business environment

Education and/or Experience
* Degree or equivalent. Engineering, Business or Project Management is preferred. Demonstrable project management, manufacturing or operations management experience preferred or combination of education and experience in this or a related field.
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (master’s preferred)
* Demonstratable experience in Oil & Gas, preferably with exposure to subsea or umbilical systems
* Proven experience in business development and P&L ownership
* Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
* Familiarity with ERP systems and engineering/project management tools
