We have an opportunity for a Paralegal within our Travel team based from our Southampton office. Our award-winning team acts for claimants and defendant insurers and airlines following accidents or claims that occur abroad or during travel.
The Travel team handles the full range of injury claims, including catastrophic injuries such as head and spinal injuries and amputations, as well as all manner of insurance disputes. With some of the leading lawyers at the cutting edge of this very interesting area of law, we are a commercially focused and friendly team, dedicated to getting the right results for our clients whatever their circumstances.
While previous experience within a travel claims environment is not required, all candidates must be able to demonstrate a strong interest in this area of law. Ideally, you will have previous experience as a personal injury paralegal and be fluent in either German, Spanish, French, or Italian. We support hybrid working, typically with 3 days of flexible office attendance, according to business needs.
Skills / Experience Required
All applicants must hold a law degree and/or have previous experience within a legal support or paralegal role within a firm.
* Travel claims or litigation/personal injury experience would be beneficial
* A modern foreign language ability in German, Spanish, French, or Italian is highly desirable
* Confident and personable - able to place clients at ease and build rapport over the phone
* Understands the commercial aspects of delivering legal services
* A team player - willing to support others and be flexible
* Strong academics with the ability to learn and quickly apply new areas of law
* Ability to work within a fast-paced environment
* Experience in providing an excellent level of client/customer service
