Senior Residential Support Worker – Children’s Home Lichfield, Staffordshire Starting salary: £33,000 (increasing based on experience) 24.5-hour shifts (1 on, 2 off) | Permanent role 3-bed Therapeutic Children’s Home Make a meaningful impact where it truly matters. We're looking for a compassionate and experienced Senior Residential Support Worker to join a nurturing and well-supported 3-bed children’s home in Lichfield. This is more than just a job—it’s a chance to play a key role in a young person’s journey. The Role Work directly with young people aged 5–17, supporting them through trauma, emotional difficulties, and daily challenges. Deliver high-quality, therapeutic, and trauma-informed care. Support and guide newer staff, contributing to a positive, consistent team dynamic. Work closely with a Registered Manager (in post since March 2025), who brings fresh leadership and energy to an already settled and committed team. Shift Pattern 1 on, 2 off (24.5-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:30 AM the following day) Includes 8-hour sleep-in (2–3 per week) Sleep-in pay : £50 flat rate (additional hourly pay kicks in after 1 hour awake) Overtime available – paid at the same rate ⚠️ We are currently reviewing our rota and shift structure – flexibility and input are welcomed. About the Home Ofsted rating: Requires Improvement – This followed a managerial change.
