We would also be interested in hospital or community nurses who have additional qualifications in diabetes or respiratory but who would be willing to train in all other aspects of practice nursing.
StoursideMedical Practice is a forward thinking 6000 patient GP practice in the centreof Halesowen. We are close to the West Midlands motorway network and on busroutes from Birmingham and Wolverhampton. We are based in a modern healthcentre with associated community services under one roof. We are a TrainingPractice and have an experienced team of clinical and non-clinical staff whichinclude a paramedic and a First Contact Physio
We are lookingfor someone to work part-time 2-3 days a week We pay an enhanced rate for extended access shiftswhich are currently available to work if desired by the successful candidate.
Main duties of the job
Thesuccessful candidate will need experience of working in a primary care setting and although predominantly will be utilised for respiratory long term condition reviews and/or Diabetes management it would be ideal if the candidate is able to do all the normal treatment room tasks such as all immunisations and cervical smears.

Job responsibilities
Managing and treating long-termconditions with an emphasis on our respiratory and or diabetes patients.
Supporting and managing the health needsof women presenting for HRT, contraception, and cervical cytologyconsultations.
Implementing, and participating in,vaccination and immunisation programmes for both adults and children, includingpatients travelling abroad, Childhood Immunisations, Prostap, Zoladex,Inclisiran, Denosumab, RSV, shingles, influenza, Covid-19 and pneumococal vaccination.
Meeting the needs of patients presentingfor wound care or suture removal.
Hypertension review and management.
Asthma and COPD reviews.
Management of other chronic diseases.
Raising safeguarding concerns whenneeded.
To maintain a clean, safe environment,adhering to hygiene and infection control.
Provide home visits for the houseboundpatients needing support for their long term conditions
