As an Airside Driver, you will play a crucial role for transporting freight between our warehouses and the aircrafts, safely, securely and on time. You will also be responsible for meeting customer requirements and following all security and safety regulations whilst working in a time sensitive environment, dealing with multiple customers and meeting deadlines in an efficient manner. Reward and Package Salary: £43,277.84 per annum inclusive of shift allowance Shift Pattern: Rotating 8-hour shifts on 4-on / 2-off pattern covering weekdays, weekends, bank holidays including days, and evenings. Your main responsibilities on a day to day basis will be: Driving company and contracted vehicles to transport cargo between locations as required and within legal compliance. Loading and unloading cargo received for import and export. Delivery of mail and courier bags including heavy lifting of bags and loose bulk. Keeping company and contracted vehicles clean and tidy, reporting any mechanical problems. Diligently completing breakdown reports where required. Following company processes and procedures to always maintain security and health and safety compliance. To be successful in this role you will need: Excellent command of the English language in both written and verbal communication to effectively communicate with team members, supervisors, and external stakeholders. Numeracy skills to assess and interpret volumes, weight and calculations accurately. Valid driver’s licence and LGV2 licence, demonstrating the ability to operate vehicles safely and responsibly. Proficiency in manual handling of heavy goods, showcasing physical strength and capability to lift and move items as required. Flexibility to work shifts including days, evenings, weekends and holidays as our business operates 24/7 to meet customer demand and deadlines.
