Job Introduction
As a Deputy Domestic Services Manager at Wythenshawe Hospital, you are a passionate leader, driving excellence in service delivery and making a significant impact on patient satisfaction and overall client experience. Your role is pivotal in ensuring the standard of food and domestic cleaning services meets patient and client expectations, creating a positive environment for everyone.
This role focuses on assisting with Food and Domestic Services throughout the hospital, emphasizing service delivery and patient satisfaction at ward level. You will build and maintain strong relationships with our client and their operational teams across the trust, playing an important role in improving patient care and daily lives. The environment operates 365 days a year, requiring some weekend work.
What You'll Do
* Ensure delivery of top-notch customer service for staff, patients, and visitors in Domestic and Patient Dining Services.
* Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures, proactively addressing issues to maintain high standards.
* Monitor and improve client and service user satisfaction through assessments and surveys.
* Manage recruitment and development of direct reports.
* Ensure health and safety standards are understood and implemented across hospital operations.
* Collaborate with the Finance team to support budgeted profit and turnover.
What You Bring
* Strong operational background in Domestic services, facilities management, or catering sectors.
* Effective leadership skills.
* Understanding of consumer trends in retail and food service.
* Experience in a hospital environment and ward-level operation.
* Knowledge of food hygiene standards.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office and IT systems.
* Flexible approach to work.
