We are seeking a dedicated and resilient Teaching Assistant to support students within a secondary SEMH setting in the Crawley area. This is a fantastic opportunity to work within a specialist environment, supporting young people who require additional emotional and behavioural support to access education.
The Role:
Provide 1:1 and small group support across Key Stages 3 & 4
Support students with SEMH needs, helping them to regulate emotions and engage in learning
Assist with managing challenging behaviour using consistent and positive strategies
Work alongside teachers to deliver tailored and differentiated learning activities
Build strong, trusting relationships to promote confidence, engagement, and progress
The Ideal Candidate:
Experience working with secondary-aged students, particularly within SEMH, PRU, or alternative provision settings
Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to de-escalate effectively
Calm, patient, and empathetic approach
Resilient, adaptable, and able to work in a fast-paced environment
Team Teach or similar training is desirable (but not essential)

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
