About the Role
Simply Education are working in partnership with an Ofsted-rated Good secondary school in the Stoke-on-Trent area. The school is seeking a dedicated and dynamic Maths teacher to join its thriving Mathematics department.

Key Responsibilities
Deliver engaging and effective lessons in Mathematics across KS3 and KS4.
Teach according to students' educational needs, including setting and marking work.
Assess, record, and report on progress, development, and attainment.
Provide oral and written feedback, reports, and references for individuals and groups.
Ensure a high-quality learning experience that meets internal and external standards.
Contribute to the development of schemes of work, resources, and teaching strategies.
Use varied teaching methods to meet diverse student needs and curriculum demands.
Maintain discipline and encourage high standards of behaviour, punctuality, and homework.
Undertake assessments as required by examination bodies and school procedures.
Implement school policies on behaviour, safeguarding, and attendance.
Work closely with parents and carers, valuing their contributions to student success.
Address Child Protection concerns swiftly and in line with policy.
Communicate regularly and effectively with colleagues to support academic and personal development.
Foster a respectful culture among students and care for the school environment.
Collaborate with Creative Education Trust colleagues and contribute to trust-wide initiatives.
Key Skills & Qualities
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent.
Strong subject knowledge in Mathematics and a passion for numeracy.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Adaptability to meet a wide range of student needs.
Effective behaviour and classroom management techniques.
Empathy and patience, especially when supporting learners with additional needs.
Essential Requirements
QTS or equivalent teaching qualification.
Experience teaching Mathematics in line with the national curriculum.
An enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
Desirable
Experience working with students with special educational needs (SEN).
Commitment to inclusive education.
