3D/2D Designer – CAD / CNC Programmer
We are looking for an experienced CAD / CNC Programmer to join a busy bespoke production team in Halesowen, Birmingham. This is a hands-on role working alongside skilled operators and craftsmen in a fast-paced, high-quality manufacturing environment.
Key responsibilities:
* Create 3D models from briefs or technical drawings
* Produce 2D working and component drawings
* Generate nesting and cutting files for CNC machinery
* Quantify materials required for projects
* Manage a catalogue of frequently used components
* Support machine operation and maintenance as needed
* Collaborate with design, technical and production teams
* Undertake other duties as required
Essential requirements:
* Proven CAD programming experience
* Proficient in SketchUp or equivalent 3D design software
* Strong verbal and written English skills
* Experience in a carpentry, joinery or furniture-making environment
Desirable skills:
* Familiarity with CNC machinery, preferably Homag
* Experience with WoodWop software
* Previous work in exhibition, events or bespoke installations
Working hours and benefits:
* Standard hours: 07:30 to 17:00, with some flexibility
* Regular overtime during busy periods
* Work within a skilled and collaborative production team
