Job Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Optical Assistant, Optical Lab technician or Dispensing Optician to join our team. You will play a vital role in providing exceptional service to our patients and assisting with various optical tasks. Duties
- Assist optometrists and opticians with patient care and examinations
- Perform preliminary tests, such as Optimal and OCT
- Prepare examination rooms and equipment for patient visits
- Educate patients on proper eyewear care and maintenance
- Help patients select frames and lenses that suit their needs and preferences
- Process orders for eyewear, including taking accurate measurements and ensuring proper fit
- Adjust frames and perform minor repairs as needed
- Maintain inventory of eyewear, contact lenses, and other optical supplies
- Clean and sanitize optical instruments and equipment
Experience
- Previous experience working in an optical setting is required
- Familiarity with laboratory procedures related to eyewear is a plus
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the eye is beneficial
