Job Title: Deputy Pastoral Manager
Location: The Holden School, Leigh WN7 4SB
Salary: £24,500.00 per annum (not pro rata)
Hours: 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, Tuesday 8.30am – 4.30pm, Monday & Wednesday to Friday 8.00am – 4.00pm
Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only

About the role
The Deputy Pastoral Manager will assist the Pastoral Team in developing the school as a high quality specialist provision for pupils with social, emotional and mental health needs, including pupils diagnosed with autism or who demonstrate behaviours associated with autism. The role focuses on delivering high standards of pastoral care in a safe and orderly learning environment and supporting behaviour management to overcome barriers to learning. Safeguarding the welfare of the young people in our care is the primary responsibility. All duties are carried out under the direction and supervision of the Headteacher.
Responsibilities
* Provide support, encouragement and pastoral care to pupils at the school
* Collaborate with parents/carers, support staff, onsite therapy team, outreach agencies and other schools to ensure pupil progress and wellbeing
* Share responsibility to support and promote the learning, personal development and wellbeing of all students
Qualifications
* Grade C or above in Maths and English
Experience
* Experience of working with pupils with SEND
