Head of Finance – Education Sector
Location: North London (Hybrid – 4 days in office)
Salary: Up to £110,000 per annum
Type: Permanent | Full-Time
Are you a strategic finance leader ready to take full ownership of the finance function in a mission-driven organisation? We are seeking a Head of Finance to join a well-regarded educational institution based in North London. This is a pivotal role for a commercially astute, hands-on finance professional who can provide strong financial leadership and partner closely with senior stakeholders.
The Role
As the number one in finance, you will report directly to the Bursar and lead a small team of 3. You will be responsible for the full finance remit, including:
* Leading the production of timely and accurate management accounts
* Driving business partnering across departments to support informed decision-making
* Overseeing FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting processes
* Managing year-end processes and preparing statutory accounts
* Ensuring robust financial controls, governance, and compliance
* Providing strategic financial insight to support the organisation’s growth and development
About You
We are looking for a confident and experienced finance leader who meets the following essential criteria:
* Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, or CIMA)
* Experience as the number one in finance
* Strong business partnering skills and ability to influence at senior levels
* Demonstrable experience across FP&A, management reporting, and statutory reporting
* Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills
* Permanent background (not a career contractor)
