Job Title: Surveyor\n Type: Permanent\n Location: Gloucester\n Salary: £46,300\n Hours: Full-time\n \n BRC are working closely with a housing provider to recruit a skilled and experienced Surveyor.\n \n This role involves supporting the Planned Programme by managing large contracts to deliver high-quality investments and improvements across housing stock, ensuring all assets meet agreed standards and regulatory requirements.\n \n Duties:\n \nLead and manage contracts and programmes for component replacement and improvements, ensuring compliance with Decent Homes standards. \nOversee large-scale, multi-year projects, controlling budgets and ensuring high quality, customer satisfaction, and statutory compliance. \nAct as Contract Manager/Client Representative on delivery contracts, fostering strong working relationships.
\nInspect contractor work, review costs and performance, and drive improvements. \nManage financial accounting functions for capital and service budgets, including forecasting and reporting. \nEnsure all properties meet statutory health and safety requirements.
\nSupport procurement of contractors in line with best value and procurement strategy. \nContribute to the Annual Investment Programme and asset management strategy. \nMaintain accurate property and asset data.
\nProduce performance reports and make recommendations to improve procurement and service delivery. \n Requirements:\n \nSubstantial experience in Asset Management, Property Investment, and Public Procurement at surveyor level. \nRelevant technical qualification (e.g., CIOB, RICS, or CIH membership).
\nProven experience managing £1m+ planned improvement projects. \nStrong project management, financial management, and stakeholder engagement skills. \nFull UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
