Our client is looking for an experienced Project Manager Capital
As a project manager within the capital delivery team, you will be responsible for managing and delivering medium-to-large-scale regeneration projects through all RIBA stages. This will involve procuring, appointing, and managing multidisciplinary consultants and main works contractors, liaising with internal and external stakeholders, and identifying and appropriately managing risks. You will successfully deliver projects to meet time, budget, and quality targets.
You will also work closely with people across the council, including colleagues in legal, finance, procurement, building control, environmental, social value and others.

You hold a Project Management qualification or other
relevant Construction/Building professional qualification.

Able to demonstrate significant experience of working on
regeneration construction/building projects through all RIBA
Work Plan stages
Experience of supervising others within a built environment
multi-disciplinary consultancy team concerned with
preparing and implementing regeneration building projects
Experience of managing building projects and programme
budgets, undertaking complex financial appraisals, and
submission of bids for external funding for regeneration
projects
Experience in undertaking consultation exercises on
building projects and programmes with a range of
audiences, including residents, elected politicians,
consultants, third parties and from disadvantaged groups
Able to demonstrate a working knowledge of planning law,
requirements and process, including CIL and Section 106
agreements
Ability to demonstrate a good working knowledge of the
differing Forms of construction contracts Essential
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing, with
a wide range of people, including residents, elected
politicians, Council officers, directors and external partners
Ability to work under pressure, on one’s own initiative with
little supervision and as part of a capital delivery team Essential
Ability to demonstrate excellent IT skills, including use of
Microsoft Office, financial spreadsheets, asset data bases
software and appraisal systems
Good negotiation, influencing and problem-solving skills Essential
Experience of undertaking building works within schools
