We’re seeking an experienced Part-time Safety Officer with a strong background in Work Health and Safety to join our Safety Team.
This role offers the flexibility to workdays and hours that suit your lifestyle while playing a key part in supporting our Return-to-Work program and broader safety functions.
You'll need to hit the ground running with previous WHS experience and bring confidence in managing workers compensation and incident processes.

In this role, you will support the Safety and Compliance Team with Safety, Compliance and Workers Compensation across our transport and logistic services.

Key Responsibilities (but not limited too):
· Manage injury and illness claims in line with legislation and company policy
· Develop and monitor suitable duties plans with stakeholders
· Act as the main contact for injured workers and rehab providers
· Maintain accurate case records and ensure timely follow-up
· Promote early intervention and injury prevention initiatives
· Assist in developing safety procedures and safe work practices
· Support risk assessments, inspections, and hazard identification
· Help investigate incidents and implement corrective actions
· Contribute to safety training and awareness programs
· Maintain safety records and ensure WHS compliance
· Assist with audits and compliance activities
· Prepare safety reports and support continuous improvement
· Build strong relationships with staff and external stakeholders
· Participate in safety meetings and WHS communications
Skills & Experience Required:
· Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent experience
· Proven experience as a Return-to-Work Coordinator
· Solid knowledge of WHS and workers compensation legislation
· Experience in risk assessments, incident management, and compliance
· Strong communication, documentation, and stakeholder engagement skills
· Proficiency in safety and compliance systems
· Highly organised with strong analytical and problem-solving ability
