Job Title: Joiner - Social Housing

Overview:
We are currently recruiting for an experienced and reliable Joiner to join a well-established social housing contractor based in Manchester. This is an excellent temp-to-perm opportunity for a skilled tradesperson with a strong background in domestic repairs and maintenance across occupied and void properties.
Key Responsibilities:
Carry out a wide range of joinery works including fitting doors, frames, skirting boards, architraves, kitchens, and windows.
Complete responsive and planned maintenance works in social housing properties.
Work within both occupied and vacant homes while minimising disruption to tenants.
Ensure all works are completed to a high standard and in line with health and safety regulations.
Accurately complete job sheets and updates using a PDA or mobile device where required.
Liaise with supervisors, site managers, and other trades to ensure efficient job completion.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Joiner within social housing or domestic maintenance environments.
NVQ Level 2 in Carpentry/Joinery or equivalent - preferred.
Ability to carry out minor multi-skilled tasks (e.g. basic plumbing, patch plastering) - advantageous.
Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Full UK Driving Licence - essential.
CSCS card - preferred but not essential.
Asbestos Awareness certificate - essential.
Valid DBS check - required (or willingness to obtain one).
