Dental Nurse – Maxillofacial
Band: 4 – Part-time (22.5 hours per week, Monday to Saturday)
We are looking for an experienced, motivated Dental Nurse with excellent communication skills and a passion for delivering exemplary dental health care to your patients.
Responsibilities
* Paediatric restorative dentistry
* Inhalation sedation
* Orthodontics
* Paediatric general anaesthetic lists
* Outpatient clinics – adult & paediatric
* Adult oral/maxillofacial surgery
* Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care programmes
* Work closely with the department/ward manager, multidisciplinary team members, monitor and maintain policies, standards of nursing care, staff and service development within the department/ward environment
* Carry out all relevant forms of care under supervision and, when proficient, demonstrate procedures of care; supervise junior qualified and/or unqualified staff including student nurses, all whilst maintaining a safe working environment
Qualifications
* Professional General Dental Council registration
* Recognised dental nurse qualification
* Inhalation Sedation Certificate (desirable but not essential – training will be supplied)
* Experience in a hospital setting (advantageous but induction provided)
