The Role

You'll lead a team of four bid professionals responsible for managing the end-to-end tendering process, ensuring strategic alignment with business growth targets and operational delivery. Working closely with senior leadership, operations, and commercial teams, you'll set standards for bid governance, communication, and performance across the group.

Key Responsibilities

* Lead and develop the bid management team, ensuring high standards across all submissions.
* Manage the full bid lifecycle, from opportunity identification to handover.
* Drive continuous improvement of processes, templates and bid content libraries.
* Oversee bid governance, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and client requirements.
* Communicate the live pipeline with internal stakeholders to ensure accurate resourcing.
* Build and maintain strong relationships with client procurement teams.
* Provide leadership, mentoring and guidance across the wider business on best practice.

About You

* Minimum five years' experience in bid or proposals management, ideally within construction, utilities or infrastructure.
* Proven track record in leading teams and managing multiple concurrent bids.
* Strong working knowledge of NEC contracts.
* Exceptional communication, coordination and writing skills.
* Commercially astute with strong attention to detail.
* Confident user of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
* Degree qualified preferred, but not essential.
* Able to travel as required for key meetings and client engagements.

Why This Role?

This is a rare opportunity to take ownership of a strategic, high-profile department within a business at the forefront of the UK's energy transition. You'll enjoy genuine autonomy, a collaborative culture, and the platform to shape how major infrastructure projects are won and delivered.

Package and Benefits

* Private healthcare
* Company car or car allowance (including EV options)
* 25 days' holiday + bank holidays
* Enhanced family leave policies
* Pension and life assurance
* Comprehensive wellbeing and reward schemes
