Role Overview:

Thirteen Group is on the lookout for a Head of Data Services to drive our data transformation, leading a high-performing data function and the delivery of modern data services across Thirteen. You’ll be at the heart of our transformation programme, making sure that data shapes decisions on improvements, to enhance customer outcomes.
This is a hybrid role, so you’ll work both from home and from our fantastic office at Hudson Quay in Middlesbrough 2-3 days a week. We’ll need you to be flexible around business and team needs, so you may need to come into the office more frequently when required.

Key Responsibilities:
* Own Thirteen's data strategy and set the strategic direction for the Data Services team.
* Shape our data function to drive innovation and high performance, enabling our data transformation.
* Manage a team of 5 direct reports and lead a service of 14 colleagues, with responsibility for data culture, governance, architecture, engineering, analytics and AI.
* Lead the development of advanced data science and BI tools and techniques, delivering actionable intelligence that drives strategic decisions and meets our customers’ current and future needs.
* Work closely with the Transformation and Change Team to make sure that data is an integral part of the transformation journey.
About You:
* Passionate about all things data, you’ll be a proven senior leader who has made an impact in complex, data-driven environments.
* In-depth knowledge of data governance, architecture, analytics, AI, and reporting.
* Experience of driving innovation and insight-led data services, embedding BI, automation, and data-driven decision-making across an organisation.
* Recognised professional accreditations in data, such as CDMP, TOGAF, or Azure Data Engineer.
* Skilled in building relationships across all levels and influencing strategic decisions through data insights.
