Join Marathon Warehouse Distribution Ltd, part of the UK's leading independent automotive parts distribution network, supplying premium brands to thousands of trade customers nationwide.
We're looking for a dedicated and experienced Warehouse Supervisor to take a proactive role in leading daily operations within our busy automotive parts distribution centre. Reporting directly to the Distribution Manager, you'll ensure the warehouse runs efficiently, safely, and accurately — maintaining high standards of productivity and teamwork.
This is a hands-on position, combining supervision, coordination, and physical work. It's ideal for someone who leads by example, enjoys taking ownership, and wants to progress within a respected national business.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the warehouse team to maintain smooth, efficient operations.
* Manage all goods-in and goods-out processes accurately and in line with company procedures.
* Support drivers with loading and unloading vehicles to ensure deliveries are completed safely and on time.
* Handle and move automotive parts and materials safely (up to 25 kg).
* Maintain accurate inventory control using the CAM Warehouse Management System.
* Conduct regular checks to ensure compliance with Health & Safety and company standards.
* Support vehicle upkeep and maintenance, reporting any faults promptly.
* Provide day-to-day guidance, motivation, and training to warehouse operatives.
* Take ownership of problem-solving and day-to-day decision-making.
* Work collaboratively with the Distribution Manager to improve efficiency and drive continuous improvement across the depot.
Skills & Experience
* Previous experience in a warehouse, logistics, or automotive distribution environment.
* Proven ability to lead and motivate a team in a fast-paced setting.
* Physically fit and confident performing manual handling duties.
* Strong organisational skills and excellent attention to detail.
* Good communication skills and a positive, team-focused attitude.
* Experience using CAM or similar warehouse systems preferred (training can be provided).
* Understanding of vehicle maintenance and safety procedures advantageous.
