Assistant Headteacher – Behaviour for Learning Lead
Little Heath School is seeking an experienced and dynamic teacher to join our Senior Leadership Team as Assistant Headteacher responsible for Behaviour for Learning and inclusive practice.
Responsibilities
* Play a full leadership role at the school.
* Provide strategic leadership for Behaviour for Learning and inclusion across the school, ensuring all pupils, particularly those eligible for Pupil Premium, succeed academically and personally.
* Lead the school’s strategy for disadvantaged students, ensuring measurable and sustained impact.
* Work in close partnership with pastoral, curriculum and safeguarding leaders to ensure a cohesive approach to supporting all students, including those at risk of under‑achievement.
* Collaborate with the pastoral team to remove barriers to learning for students.
* Take responsibility for overall standards in a number of subject areas, in line with other senior leadership team members.
Qualifications and Experience
* Vision to secure continued improvement in the overall quality of education for all students.
* Experience of effectively leading behaviour and inclusion provision in a secondary setting, or other relevant leadership experience.
* Excellent understanding of current developments in effective Behaviour for Learning strategies and wider inclusion practice, with evidence of concrete improvements in student outcomes.
* Demonstrated passion for supporting pupils with additional needs.
* Experience working with external agencies and leading multi‑agency support for vulnerable pupils.
* Innovative and inspirational classroom practitioner.
* Ability to lead and motivate staff, driving collaboration and professional development.
Essential Requirements
This role has been identified as public facing in accordance with Part 7 of the Immigration Act 2016, and therefore the ability to converse at ease with pupils/members of the public and provide advice/instruction in accurate spoken English is essential for the post.
