Our client, a leading firm in the Defence & Security sector, is seeking a DevSecOps Engineer to join their Defence Information Advantage team. This is a contract position based in Romsey, requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite. Key Responsibilities: Contribute to agile ceremonies following Scrum, Kanban, or SAFe Agile frameworks Coach team members in DevSecOps methodologies Collaborate with product owners and software developers to schedule releases and implement CI/CD pipelines Work with security architects to ensure products and services are secure by design Partner with quality engineers to ensure high standards of product and service quality Implement changes to products and services effectively Participate and contribute to code reviews Support operational systems, troubleshoot, and resolve issues Job Requirements: Degree-level qualification in a STEM subject or equivalent practical experience Experience with AWS cloud technologies; Azure and GCP beneficial Knowledge of cyber security, including vulnerability management, IDAM, and network security Familiarity with virtualisation and containerisation tools such as Docker, Podman, and Kubernetes Understanding of architectural styles including microservices, serverless, and edge compute Experience with DevSecOps tooling including Git, Gitlab CI/CD, and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Puppet, Ansible) Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python or Rust Experience with SRE analysis tools like Prometheus, Grafana, and Elastic Search Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholders Proactive attitude and willingness to work both independently and as part of a team Commitment to Continuous Improvement and Learning from Experience Previous experience in DevSecOps roles within the defence industry is an advantage Additional Information: Contract Duration: 6 months Clearance: Must hold a BPSS check, ideally with SC or UKSV DV Location: Romsey, with a minimum of three days per week onsite IR35 Status: Inside If you are a skilled DevSecOps Engineer seeking a new opportunity to contribute to innovative defence projects, we encourage you to apply now.
