The MCA is looking for you to join as the Delivery Manager to join His Majesty’s Coastguard (HMCG), a Category One emergency service and the only service which operates nationally across the length and breadth of the United Kingdom. It is both a partner and service provider to the other emergency services, local authorities and UK Search & Rescue (UKSAR) providers.
HM Coastguard is the operational arm of the Maritime and Coastguard Agency (MCA) with responsibility for 6 Coastguard functions Search and Rescue, Pollution Response, Vessel Traffic Management, Maritime Safety, Maritime Security, and Emergency and Disaster Management.

As the Delivery Manager, you will be responsible for supporting the Senior Delivery Manager in the development and implementation of effective and efficient Project and Programme Management processes as part of the Command & Control Programme. Supporting specific activities to ensure successful delivery of the Programme on time, to budget, and delivering the anticipated benefits.
Responsibilities
* Supporting the delivery of programme workstreams and projects, including associated plans, through all stages of their lifecycle.
* Maintaining project and programme documentation, including Risk Registers, Issues Register, Assumption and Decision Logs and other key project documentation.
* Assisting in planning, coordinating, drafting and securing project assurance, governance, decisions and approval documents.
* Supporting the development and maintenance of project plans, identifying key dependencies to support the assessment and coordination of tasks.
* Coordinating internal and external project delivery audit activities and acting as custodian of project documentation, maintaining effective version control and ensuring master copies are always saved and accessible.
* Providing regular updates regarding progress or potential delays through highlight reports and team meetings;
* Promoting best practice project management and identifying opportunities to enhance project delivery approaches and techniques.
