About the Role:
We are seeking compassionate, dedicated, and proactive Special Educational Needs Teaching Assistants (SEN TAs) to support pupils in primary schools across Rotherham and Doncaster. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children with a range of additional needs, including autism (ASC), ADHD, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with SEN
Assist the class teacher in delivering tailored learning activities
Support pupils’ social and emotional development
Help implement Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies
Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment
Monitor and record pupil progress, providing feedback to teachers and SENCOs
Requirements:
Experience working with children with SEN (in a school or similar setting)
A patient, empathetic, and nurturing approach
Strong communication and teamwork skills
Ability to adapt to different learning needs and classroom environments
Relevant qualifications (e.g., Level 2/3 Teaching Assistant) are desirable but not essential
