Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Technical Accountant/Finance Manager to join our dynamic team in Chester. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in both technical and financial accounting, ideally alongside audit experience. You will be responsible for a small team, developing strategies for financial growth, and ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage the end-to-end financial operations, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS/UK GAAP and other regulatory standards.
Act as the primary point of contact for external auditors, managing the entire audit process from planning to completion and implementing any recommended improvements.
Provide strategic financial insights and guidance to the executive team to support long-term business planning and decision-making.
Develop and maintain robust internal controls and financial policies to mitigate risk and improve efficiency across the finance function.
Required Skills & Qualifications ACA or ACCA qualified accountant.
Proven experience in a senior accounting or finance manager role.
Demonstrable experience managing external audit processes, either from an industry or practice perspective.
Strong technical accounting knowledge, including IFRS and/or UK GAAP.
Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Nice-to-have Qualifications Experience working within a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
