About The Role
As a VTS Operator at the Forth and Tay Navigation Service, based in Port of Grangemouth, you will assist the Duty Assistant Harbour Master in operating the Vessel Traffic System to ensure safe and efficient shipping movements.
This is a shore-based role with a 12-hour shift system covering 24/7 operations, offering long rostered periods off between shifts. We are also open to part-time applicants; please specify your preference in your application.
What Are We Looking For?
* Officer of the Watch certificate preferred; marine experience considered.
* Knowledge of port marine operations, especially on the Forth and Tay Estuaries.
* Desirable: familiarity with the Port Marine Safety Code, Pilotage, and Towage.
* Excellent communication, IT, planning skills, and awareness of health and safety standards in ports.
* Possession of a C-103 Certificate is advantageous; training will be provided if needed.
* Full UK driving license.
