We’re looking to recruit an Environmental Project Manager to join our team based in Milton Keynes.
In this role, you will manage Early Warnings, Technical Queries, and General Communications (HS2, Design Consultants, and Technical support) and RRM with relevant technical support. You will support the management and tracking of design changes, manage subconsultants including the development of scope of works and assessment of applications for payment, and consolidate and manage update reports to the Senior Leadership team. You will also interface with section Engineering Design Managers and ensure compliance with HS2 standards.
You will support technical teams and assist with the implementation of BS EN ISO 14001 certification, audits against the standard, and internal procedures. Additionally, you will promote environmental and sustainability standards within the supply chain, collaborating with the wider Environmental team, client, designers, community, stakeholder, and public relations managers to ensure project objectives are met.
You will lead by example, promoting good practices related to environmental management and sustainability, sharing best practices and learning.
About You
* Demonstrable knowledge and experience in the application of environmental legislation for large-scale infrastructure projects in the UK.
* Meticulous in checking detail while recognizing delivery priorities and programme needs.
* Good interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships and networks.
* Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience influencing and negotiating with various internal and external stakeholders, and the ability to communicate key points effectively.
* A degree in an Environmental or Engineering discipline is desirable.
* Membership of an appropriate professional body working towards chartered status.
