This is an exciting time to join Bridgend County Borough Council in the role of Communications Officer for the Communities Directorate. We are seeking a highly experienced, creative communications professional with significant experience in delivering exceptional, engaging content for waste, recycling and regeneration services.
In this role you will work closely with the service to create and deliver impactul, audience focussed communications for the Waste and Recycling Service as the service transitions back in-house. This is a wide-ranging post and you will also play an essential part in communicating major regeneration projects across the county borough as well as promoting our pride in place campaign which will put you at the heart of sharing how the council is investing in, and transforming local areas. You will be experienced in campaign planning, digital strategy and analytics.
You will be joining an enthusiastic and dedicated workforce who are deeply committed to the council and the communities we serve, as noted in our recent Panel Performance Assessment (PPA). This role plays an important part in taking forward the recommendations of the PPA and helping us achieve our untapped potential. You will be a highly creative, digitally savvy, experienced communications professional who is skilled at creating compelling narratives with a passion for storytelling through social media, video and other digital platforms that will resonate with local people.
