Claims Assessor
Are you someone that is highly motivated with experience in assessing protection claims?
You'll have a good understanding of compliance with relevant policies, external regulation and claims standards, with exceptional care and emotional intelligence to ensure customer support and any vulnerability needs are looked after.
You'll be joining a highly motivated team to assess life insurance, Income protection, terminal illness and critical illness cover insurance claims - from investigation, to keeping customers informed and through to claim outcome, providing outstanding customer service.
You'll operate efficiently across multiple systems, propose process improvements, and adapt to evolving technologies to boost performance. The role will actively collect essential claim details, manage communications, and refer complex issues to specialists when appropriate.
You'll engage with customers to assess claims, offer assistance and handle sensitive outcomes with understanding and care. You have to maintain clear communication, develop relationships with stakeholders, stay informed on industry developments, guide colleagues, and participate in training and projects.
Your impact will be felt through your engagement with customers, assessing claims, offering assistance, and handling sensitive outcomes with understanding and care.
A broad knowledge of life related product for example, Life insurance, critical illness, income protection and terminal illness. Knowledge of legal aspects relevant to claims, for example, Probate and CIDRA rules.
Ability to look after the claims from start to end, including signing out claims independently and working autonomously
Experience in dealing with reinsurers and medical officers, along with experience in dealing with misrepresentation as set out in the ABI guidelines.
Strong relationship building and communication skills, with a desire to deliver quality service at the highest level and commitment to individual and team performance
Starting salary circa £37000 (depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications)
