Mechanical & Electrical Manager (MEP)
Salary: Up to £80,000 + Package | Company Car + Benefits
Location: Reading Office
Project Locations: Thames Valley, Outer London, Kent, with upcoming schemes in Bristol and Cambridge
My client is seeking an experienced Mechanical & Electrical Manager to support the successful delivery of building services across multiple projects throughout the South of England.
Based from the Reading office, you will work alongside another Building Services Manager and the wider project teams to oversee the coordination, technical delivery and performance of MEP packages across several live schemes. This role requires someone who is confident managing multiple projects concurrently, ensuring mechanical and electrical works are delivered to programme, specification and the highest quality standards.
You will play a key role from design review through to installation, commissioning and final handover, ensuring strong coordination between consultants, subcontractors and site teams while maintaining compliance with all regulatory and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities
* Manage and oversee MEP packages across multiple projects concurrently, maintaining oversight of delivery across several live sites.
* Coordinate mechanical and electrical works from design development through installation, commissioning and handover.
* Review and challenge technical design information to ensure compliance, buildability and alignment with project specifications.
* Work closely with project managers, design teams and subcontractors to ensure programme milestones and project objectives are achieved.
* Monitor and manage MEP subcontractors, ensuring labour levels, procurement and installation activities align with programme requirements.
* Chair and attend coordination meetings with supply chain partners to track progress and resolve technical issues.
* Oversee testing, commissioning and quality assurance processes to ensure systems are delivered and operate as intended.
* Ensure full compliance with building regulations, fire stopping requirements, builders work coordination and statutory obligations.
* Provide technical support and leadership to project teams, assisting with problem solving and installation challenges.
* Maintain regular reporting to senior management regarding progress, programme risks and delivery status.
About You
* Proven experience working as a Mechanical & Electrical Manager, Building Services Manager or Technical Services Manager within construction.
* Strong technical knowledge across both mechanical and electrical building services systems (balanced understanding preferred).
* Essential experience managing multiple construction projects concurrently.
* Strong understanding of building regulations, commissioning processes and quality assurance standards.
* Demonstrated experience working closely with consultants, subcontractors and delivery teams.
* Strong organisational, communication and problem-solving skills.
* Flexible to travel across regional project locations as required.
