This 2-year fast-track programme is designed for individuals with prior relevant learning to complete an apprenticeship sooner than usual. It combines academic study with industry experience, leading to a BEng (Hons) in Electrical Engineering and a career in the nuclear sector.
Programme Overview
Our Cavendish Nuclear supports nuclear energy solutions. As an apprentice, you'll work on projects involving electrical, control, and instrumentation design, gaining experience through rotations and mentorship.
Key Learning Outcomes
* Develop expertise in electrical engineering design and documentation.
* Produce technical reports and evaluate safety risks.
* Contribute throughout the design and manufacturing process.
* Gain practical skills with AutoCAD, Revit, Navisworks, and safety regulations.
* Receive specialised nuclear industry training.
Impact and Responsibilities
You will contribute to projects supporting UK's nuclear decommissioning, environmental safety, and energy security, helping to address the UK's nuclear legacy.
Qualifications and Eligibility
* Level 5 Diploma in Electrical Engineering or Nuclear Technician Apprenticeship.
* At least 2 A-Levels in STEM, or equivalent qualifications.
* 5 GCSEs including English and Maths at grade C/4 or above.
Strong analytical, problem-solving skills, CAD experience, and passion for electrical engineering are desirable. Security clearance may be required.
