The Role
The role of Technical Sales Manager will involve building a desk in the Data Centre market, utilising current contacts and enquiries balanced with new business generation. This role provides the unique opportunity to build the business’s reputation in a market that is ever-changing with the development of technological advancements. The Technical Sales Manager will:
1. Target a network of potential customers in the Data Centre market, on a desk with the potential to generate £10-million revenue
2. Attend events and exhibitions, building a name and reputation for the business in the Data Centre industry
3. Liaise with internal proposals engineers to ensure technical designs are correct, and present these to customers
4. Manage an average of 20-30 enquiries with average order value of £1.5 million
5. Work collaboratively with other Technical Sales Managers in the business to ensure all customer enquiries and leads are addressed
The Candidate
To be successful in your application for this Technical Sales Manager role you will need:
6. Experience in Technical Sales in a B2B service and solutions environment
7. An understanding of electrical engineering in order to communicate technical solutions between internal and external stakeholders
8. Be a strong communicator and team player, aiming to work as part of a sales team
9. Ambitious with the desire to take ownership of a desk and build a new market for the business
