Responsibilities
* Define and implement advanced process control strategies in conjunction with Process Development, Operations, and Manufacturing Engineering.
* Standardise best-in-class parameters for tooling, material selection, process stability, and personnel capability across high-volume production.
* Collaborate with NPD, Tooling, Product Design, and Marketing to specify and commission high-precision capital equipment for new manufacturing technologies.
* Lead and technically mentor a specialist team of Setters, Materials Experts, and Tooling Engineers focused on innovation, training, and process optimisation.
Qualifications
* Degree-qualified in Polymer Science & Engineering or a related discipline.
* Certified in Injection Moulding technologies (PTIC, IMT4, RJG, Master Moulder or equivalent).
* Deep working knowledge of thermoplastics processing, tooling design, mold flow analysis, and closed-loop process controls.
* Strong competence in statistical process control, DOE, and data-driven root cause analysis.
* Technically credible and influential at all levels, from shop floor to senior leadership.
