Sign-On Bonus
For a limited time, MaineHealth is offering up to $10,000 sign-on bonus for eligible Registered Nurses with 1-2 years of experience and $20,000 for those with more than 2 years of experience!
* Eligible candidates are hired into a Full or Part-time RN position. Bonus amount is prorated for Part-time hires. Per diem hires are ineligible.
* Current MaineHealth employees are ineligible; former employees are ineligible until more than 6 months of separation.
Unit Bio
Known as R9, this 24-bed acute care medical-surgical unit has telemetry capabilities. It cares for adults with acute and chronic conditions. The unit features private rooms, promoting a healing environment for patients and families.
Job Summary
The Clinical Nurse supports Maine Medical Center's mission by demonstrating excellence, competence, collaboration, innovation, respect, patient and family-centered care, community commitment, and accountability. Responsibilities include assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, documentation, and evaluation of nursing care across inpatient, outpatient, ambulatory, and community settings.
Minimum Qualifications
1. Education: BSN preferred. Evidence of 10 hours of ongoing education annually.
2. License/Certifications: Current Maine RN license. Relevant specialty certification preferred.
3. Experience: At least 1 year of RN experience. Completion of Level I usually achieved within 12 months. Med/surg or telemetry experience preferred.
4. Knowledge and Skills: Solid understanding of nursing principles, effective communication, analytical skills, crisis management, caring practice, and technical skills for patient care.
