We are currently seeking a Facilities and Estates Operative to join our team in Blackburn. You will play a key role in maintaining high standards of cleanliness, landscaping, and general property upkeep. You’ll provide essential services including window cleaning, minor repairs, waste removal, and environmental inspections across multiple sites. In this role, you will focus on collaborating with the Waste Removal and Waste Management team. Your responsibilities will include tackling fly tipping and conducting litter picking across our external housing group (THG) sites. You'll also be involved in loading and unloading waste, transporting it to the depot, and sorting it appropriately. Carry out routine cleaning of all internal and external communal areas, ensuring these areas are left clean, safe and attractive for our customers; using a combination of hand tools, power tools and chemical agents when required. When required assistant in the removal of graffiti, fly tipped waste on the organisations land. Undertake a range of minor repairs to communal properties, gardens and the wider estate including planned deep cleaning. Ensure that access footpaths are kept free from hazards and/or obstructions. Adaptability and flexibility, responsible for working in service areas across the team as required, cleaning, waste & house removals and general duties associated with estate management. To promptly and effectively handle on-site customer inquiries while communicating clearly and efficiently at all levels. Plans and organises workload to meet deadlines in line with the departmental service plans.
