Calling all compassionate and dedicated individuals! Mencap is seeking passionate Male Support Workers to join our Floating Support team in Rochdale.
We are looking for a car driver with a full UK Driving Licence - able to drive manual vehicles.
As a Support Worker, you'll have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of individuals with learning disabilities. You will work with a diverse group of people, each with their own unique abilities and needs. Your responsibilities include assisting with daily activities, providing emotional support, and more.
Floating Support supports people in the Rochdale, Middleton, Littleborough areas. This is not a ‘Domestic Service’ but may include household cleaning/laundry. Support hours vary depending on individual needs, including medication administration, budgeting, shopping, socialising, hobbies, personal care, home upkeep, and healthy eating.
Initially, we are looking for Relief staff. Shifts may vary in hours and days, for example: 11.5 hours/week, or split across days.
Staff will visit 3 or 4 people supported on each shift.
Good local knowledge of Rochdale, Middleton, Littleborough is essential.

Contract options:
* Relief – to cover annual leave and sickness.
This service is not 24-hour care. Rotas are prepared at least 4 weeks in advance.
* Days: Anytime between 08:00-22:00
