This is a senior leadership role at the heart of our Adults and Health directorate. We’re looking for someone who brings strategic vision, operational expertise and a deep commitment to improving lives. You will lead services that support adults with care and support needs to live safely, independently and well. You will work across systems and with communities to embed prevention, tackle inequalities, and ensure our services reflect the lived experiences of Camden’s residents.

You will also be a collaborative leader who empowers others, values lived experience and is committed to continuous learning and improvement.
This role deputises for our Executive Director of Adults and Health, who is Camden’s statutory Director of Adult Social Services. You will be a key member of our senior leadership team, helping to shape the future of adult social care in Camden and representing the borough on a London-wide and national stage.

Responsibilities
* Lead services that support adults with care and support needs to live safely, independently and well.
* Provide strategic vision and operational leadership within the Adults and Health directorate.
* Embed prevention, tackle inequalities, and ensure services reflect the lived experiences of Camden’s residents.
* Collaborate across systems and with communities to deliver inclusive, empowering, and responsive services.
* Represent the council on a London-wide and national stage as a senior leader in adult social care.
* Drive continuous improvement, navigate complexity, build trust, and make difficult decisions when required.
Qualifications and Experience
* Experience leading adult social care services, including safeguarding, integrated working, and operational delivery.
* Proven ability to lead inclusive leadership, workforce development and anti-racist practice across an organisation.
* Evidence of collaborative leadership, empowerment of teams, and commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
* Experience in strategic planning and working across systems to embed early help and co-designed support.
* Ability to represent the borough at a senior level and on broader regional/national forums.
